Idea I've had a while back

Why have a virtual world where we only simulate modern warfare? Sometimes modern warfare isn't... fun. Perhaps we can relive other times in history... such as WWII... where the most military forces ever have been mobilized, and dogfights were for men. Maybe the 50's where both the Soviet Union and the USA lived in fear of each other. Possibly even the 60's and 70's where both countries were more prepared than ever to kill one another.

This is mearly an idea... I'm not sure if it would work, though it would probably be more fun because we all know the outcomes in these eras. I, and I assume many other people, would like to see what would happen if they were in command instead of the traditional leaders.

Plus these eras in history are more "pure" with less of the modern era bullshit.

This sounds alot more fun

Back in my CEF days we held war-games dedicated to WW-2 aircraft daily. All VM's were welcome to join in on the fun. We hosted the games in an island group to simulate island to island warfare.

Just an idea.

Shit, I was thinking of getting some German Fighters fixed up with VC's, and go into the WW-2 B-17 Bomber Servers to challenge their Fighter Escorts. Maybe we all can form some Historical Group together, and do some old WW-1 and 2 Fighter and Bomber Operations. Maybe get some Europian Action. I am thinking Europian because the areas were much closer than Pacific Islands. But, the reverting this whole VR-World all the way back to those days would be a waste.

Maybe we can all can start some other paralel reality thing, going into the WW-2 era, or any era we want. And, writing this, I just got another idea; since this VR-World is all boring, or slow, maybe we all could use our imagination and use that STMS thing. Maybe do some tests, and for shits and giggles, make that thing our time machine, to go back with all our factions, bringing WW-2 craft, and do some Vortex Time Travle thing, and go into the past. Making for some VR-World Ending, or something, or maybe not an ending, but a kind of new VR-World Reality thing where we all can travle back and forth through time, to go into other realities. (Just a thought), and this time we could do it all right, form up, make friends with our foes, choose Allies or Axis, and see if we knowing what we know now of WW-2 can change it in some way. Maybe making our own factions in Europe, or all over the world.

I can say one thing, I might end up on the German Side, in Europe, for the (FW-190 or ME-109). However, in the Pacific, I would be the US, or Chinese side, (P-40 or Corsair). And maybe from then on, we could be all about Soviet or Nazi, or Soviet and Capitalist. But, if the Allies lost, Germany would have Europe, and Russia would most likely be fighting the Nazis. Hisler would have died, and someone else with sense would have lead Germany. The war would either end in Nukes in Europe and major US City's, or a long Atlantic and Pacific war, should the Japanese persued into Pearl, and invaded, rather than hit and run.
