OCU has recently acquired three military aircraft.  An Su-27B, Su-27UB, and MiG-29A.  We will begin a  modernization program to upgrade the avionics, aiframes, and powerplants of these aircraft.  Upon completion, they will be used for dissimilar air combat training (DACT) and will be available for hire to VMs hoping to improve their air combat maneuvering skills.  Eventually, all aircraft will feature thrust vectoring, and simulated weapons system pods which will give accurate assessments regarding "kills" during training exercises.

That is cool, I might be willing to do this if my frames were not 2 to 4. I keep getting nailed because of bad frames.

The VR-World could use some basic MiG-29's, MiG-21's, SU-27's, and MiG-17's with a basic paint for factions to paint their own logos and unit numbers on, aircraft without thrust vectoring. We could also use a simple missile launch system, to were we still count, but can fire a missile during a dog fight to determine if it actually would hit an opponent, keeping the counting system but adding a missile to it so the counter can confirm a hit. Something that doesn't have to be D-Loaded by everyone, but can be if someone feels they want to add to their experience.

The way the system works at the moment, is that the missiles will only lock within 3-5 miles.  They won't track any further or closer.  The missiles are not visually seen, as this is designed to be a simulation pod.  If the target aircraft defeats the simulated missile, there is no indication of a hit.  If the target aircraft is struck, the word "hit" flashes in the Flankers HUD below the reticle. The Flanker also has guns.  The tracers actually explode if they hit anything solid, including player aircraft.  This is simply a visual effect, and does not do any damage to the objects/aircraft they impact (much like the gun effect for the Captain Sim Hornet), but does confirm whether or not a gun kill is legit.  Once these systems have been finalized for the Flanker, we will install them on the MiG-29.  If the packaging method is successful, the weapons pack will be uploaded to media fire with install instructions for all to download.
